Congressman Billy Long (MO-07) voted in favor today of using the Congressional Review Act to strike down a rule the Obama Administration pushed through that would force all states to use Title X health care funds to fund abortions services through organizations like Planned Parenthood. He released the following statement today regarding his vote on H.J. Res. 43:

"No state or taxpayer should be forced to fund health care services that perform abortions," said Rep. Long."States should be allowed to use Title X funds for health care providers that provide the best care for individuals. By forcing states to fund these health care facilities, money is being taken away from health care centers that offer a broader range of services. Something both men and women need access to."
